Welcome to South Taranaki.

As Mayor of this fantastic district it gives me great pleasure inviting you all to the Small Town’s Conference being held here on 19~21 September 2010.

The theme of the conference is ‘Small Town’s – Big Futures’; and with a population of 26,500 spread across seven small towns you could not have a more appropriate district to hold this conference.

The organising committee have put a huge amount of work into making this an exciting and rewarding conference – with a great line up of inspirational speakers along with field trips and entertainment by one of New Zealand’s iconic cultural groups, the Patea Maori Club. From excellence in retail to shop displays, time management to retaining youth in the community, this conference will provide practical ideas which you can take away and implement back home.
